The LYAA would like to give our players an opportunity to raise money toward their registration fees this year.  We have partnered with World's Finest Chocolates because we know their chocolate bars practically sell themselves.

All profits raised will go towards player fees:

50% towards personal fees and

50% towards the league Scholarship Fund for players in need

Chocolate will be available at weigh-ins at The LYAA Shed

7/16 6-8pm

7/20 9-12pm

8/3 12-2pm

You can also text 970-690-1044 to make an appointment to pick chocolate up.

Please email with any questions.

*Money earned above your registration fee amount will go into the LYAA Scholarship Fund.

We’re looking forward to a fantastic season with exciting changes!

MAJOR CHANGES FOR MIDDLES SCHOOL PLAYERS:

Starting in the 2019 Season, middle school teams will be determined

based on where players attend school.

All 6th, 7th, and 8th grade players will register based on where they go to school.  It is possible we will do a Junior Varsity and Varsity team for each school.  Final registration numbers will determine if 6th grade plays as part of their JV team or on their own. Which teams charter school, homeschool, and out-of-district players play for will also be determined based on registration numbers.

What this means for middle school coaching is that the LYAA Board of Directors is going to select coaching staffs for each middle school team. We feel like we can build some great coaching staffs that will shape our players for the next level in their football journeys. We also believe this will bring forth the kind of coaches our parents and players are wanting to see. There will be a selection process based on experience and an interview.

As a board, we believe this change is one that will help align our middle school athletes to better represent their respective middle schools. All of the surrounding school districts participate in middle school football and we've seen how it also helps build their respective high school programs. The LYAA is committed to the growth of our players, our program and  our community.

Many of the details are still being worked out and will be made available to you as they are settled.  Feel free to email with any questions you may have.
